The "Waker", Mosrael is used to bring the Dead into Life, but also throws the necromancer further into Death. Mosrael is the favourite bell of necromancers, because if rung properly, the Dead will emerge to inhabit bodies. After Mosrael has been rung, the necromancer will often seek to ring Saraneth to bind the Dead to his will, and control them. Mosrael´s tune is described as a seesaw. Sabriel is told never to use this bell.
